Because the cache in such hybrid systems works across entire HDD stored data. Either a single unit hybrid drives like the Seagate Momentus XT or a paired hybrid system where you can use your existing HDD and pair it with a small SSD for caching purposes. What kind of benefit is that to anything? To have slightly faster boot, yet 90% of the data remains sluggish slow from HDD only unless you install games or apps on already tiny SSD? I could never understand people buying small SSD’s just to boot Windows and few apps and leave the rest on HDD. It’s no problem getting a 2TB SSD at the moment, but its price is ridiculous. We will update this article when AMD gives us more information so make sure you keep an eye out. However, the company did not share an ETA for the fix. Now an AMD Staff member told users that the StoreMI system slow down issue has been taken on a higher priority and that they will be fixing it in the upcoming version of the application. We will look in to and provide the fix for the same. if its really issue with latest release Storemi. With respect to above “Slow response” and high CPU usage are working on it. With some reports dating back over a month, AMD had acknowledged the issue on August 19 and said that they were working on it. Just wondering if anybody else experiences this

StoreMI has now caused my PC to take at least 5 minutes to boot and all of my games stutter for the entire time I play. I did little to no research trying to troubleshoot this, and downloaded StoreMI and the Ryzen Master software. Upgraded to the 3700x recently and noticed performance didn’t really increase and in some cases felt like it was decreasing. Is there any fix to this? Can’t I delete it? A solution without backup or anything? Also, when I play a game now, the framerates are low, freeze and change. I downloaded Storemi by mistake to update my AMD Ryprocessor and out of nowhere, my pc startup takes 5 mins, it gets stuck in the loading windows. Many say that StoreMI is causing the mouse and window movement to lag to a point where it is unusable. Some other problems include intermittent stuttering, freezing, and the system using 100% CPU. Users say that they have noticed that the system taking significantly longer to boot after installing or updating to the latest version of StoreMI. Having said that, it looks like the latest version of AMD StoreMI has an issue that is causing systems to slow down instead of boosting their performance.
